Hiring Accounts Manager for Luxury Resort in Munnar. The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls, and cash flow. The incumbent will ensure financial accuracy, optimize operational costs, support strategic business decisions, and maintain compliance with all applicable financial regulations while delivering high standards expected in the hospitality industry. Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Present Management Information System (MIS) reports with financial analysis and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Prepare annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor departmental expenditures against approved budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Support management in strategic financial planning and profitability improvement.

Cost Control & Profitability

• Monitor and control Food Cost, Beverage Cost, Payroll Cost, Utility Expenses, and Operating Costs.
• Analyze departmental profitability and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Review inventory valuation and stock movement in coordination with operational departments.
• Recommend initiatives to improve revenue and operational efficiency.

Revenue Audit & Cash Management

• Verify daily revenue reports from Front Office, Restaurants, Banquets, Spa, and other operating departments.
• Reconcile cash collections, credit card settlements, online payment gateways, and bank deposits.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate working capital.
• Maintain effective controls over cash handling procedures.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits.
• Maintain statutory registers and financial documentation.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Vendor & Payroll Management

• Review vendor payments and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
• Monitor aging of receivables and payable accounts.
• Oversee payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
• Ensure timely statutory deductions and remittances.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Develop and implement financial policies and internal control systems.
• Safeguard company assets through effective financial controls.
• Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Foster collaboration with operational departments to achieve business objectives.
• Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com)
• MBA (Finance) / M.Com preferred
• CA Inter / CMA / ACCA qualification will be an added advantage

Experience

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Minimum 4–5 years in a managerial role within hotels, resorts, hospitality groups, or restaurant chains.
• Experience with multi-unit hospitality operations is preferred.
