HIRING FINANCE MANAGER

We are hiring Finance Manager for the Luxury Resort in Kerala. The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hotel/resort, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, statutory compliance, and effective cash flow management. Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the hotel’s accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
  • Monitor daily revenue reports and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Develop annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide financial insights and reports to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support long-term financial planning and profitability initiatives.

Cost Control & Revenue Monitoring

  • Monitor departmental expenses and implement cost-control measures.
  • Analyze food cost, beverage cost, payroll cost, and operational expenses.
  • Coordinate with department heads to improve operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Review inventory valuation and cost variances regularly.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal, statutory, and tax audits.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and regulatory reports.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Cash & Banking Operations

  • Oversee cash management, banking transactions, and fund utilization.
  • Monitor cash collections, petty cash, and daily banking activities.
  • Ensure effective credit control and timely collection of receivables.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance and accounts team.
  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
  • Conduct training to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Establish and maintain effective internal financial controls.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval processes for financial transactions.
  • Monitor compliance with procurement and payment procedures.

Management Reporting

  • Prepare MIS reports, financial dashboards, and profitability analyses.
  • Present financial performance reports to senior management.
  • Support management with feasibility studies, investment analysis, and business planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Professional certifications in finance or accounting are an added advantage.

Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in finance and accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry (Hotel/Resort).
  • Experience with hotel accounting systems and ERP software is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of hospitality finance, revenue management, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with GST, Income Tax, TDS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

  • Full-time position based at the hotel/resort.
